Run With Rivs

In 2020, Tommy Rivers Puzey was diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer and his elite running career was put on hold indefinitely. I was supremely inspired by his story, his grit, and the running community’s response to support him during his treatment, which nearly took his life. 

A fun sketch turned into an opportunity to design the lettering on a full-size flag, which Jordan Maddocks ran a marathon with in honor of Rivs (that’s 26.2 miles carrying a flag, people!). The original drawing was also printed on t-shirts that were shared with Rivs and his family.
